How your information is handled

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This notice explains what personal information AI Business Setup collects through this website, why, who else handles it, and what your rights are. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.

Who is responsible

AI Business Setup is run by Annieth (Annie) Woollery, a sole trader in the UK. I am the data controller for the information described here. You can contact me about anything in this notice through the contact form, or by replying to any email you've had from me.

What I collect, and why

When you…I collectWhy, and the legal basis
Ask for the free checklist Your email address, and a record of when and how you agreed to hear from me To send you the checklist and, because you ticked the box to agree, occasional website tips. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Book a discovery call Your name and email, the time you choose, and your answers about your business, current website, budget and timescale To arrange the call and prepare for it. Basis: taking steps at your request before a possible contract.
Send a message through the contact form Your name, email, business name if you give it, and your message To reply to you. Basis: legitimate interests in answering enquiries, and taking steps at your request before a possible contract.
Email me or become a client Your contact details, our correspondence, the project details you share, and invoices and payments To reply, deliver the work you've asked for, and keep the business records the law requires. Basis: contract and legal obligation (tax records).

I don't ask for, and please don't send, health information or other sensitive details through the booking form or the signup form.

Who else handles it

I use a small number of services to run the business. Each processes your information only to provide its service to me:

  • MailerLite stores the email list and sends the checklist and any newsletters.
  • Cal.com runs the booking calendar and stores your booking and answers. Bookings are also added to my Google Calendar.
  • Web3Forms passes messages from the contact form to my inbox.
  • Google (Gmail) handles email I send and receive.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, it processes technical data such as your IP address in order to deliver the page and protect it from attack.

Some of these providers are based in, or use servers in, the US or the EU. Where your information leaves the UK, they rely on the transfer safeguards UK data protection law recognises, such as the UK–US data bridge or approved contract clauses. I don't sell or share your information with anyone else, and I won't confirm to anyone that you've been in touch without your permission.

How long it is kept

  • Email list: until you unsubscribe. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • Bookings and enquiries that don't lead to work: deleted after 12 months.
  • Client records and invoices: for as long as UK tax law requires, which for a sole trader is at least five years after the 31 January deadline for the relevant tax return.

Cookies and tracking

This website doesn't use analytics or advertising cookies, so there's no cookie banner. The booking calendar (Cal.com) and the signup form (MailerLite) are loaded from those providers, who may set their own cookies needed to make them work; their own privacy notices explain how.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information I hold about you
  • ask me to correct anything that's wrong
  • ask me to delete it, where there's no legal reason to keep it
  • object to, or ask me to restrict, how it's used
  • withdraw your consent to emails at any time, by unsubscribing or by asking me

To use any of these rights, use the contact form or reply to any email you've had from me, and I'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
